The Idea

Chris Milk, beloved local artist in Richmond, Virginia, will spend a week with aspiring public elementary school artists, creating with them a permanent work of art for their school and leading daily workshops in drawing and painting!

The Specifics

For one week of art camp at Linwood Holton Elementary School in Richmond, VA, Chris Milk will be the artist in residence! Kids will have the chance to work with a local artist directly to create a collaborative piece to hang in their school. Each day, there will be drawing and painting workshops, where participants will create their own paintings and under Chris Milk’s guidance, the kids will also contribute ideas and energy to a larger, group piece to be permanently displayed in the art gallery at our school! A project that brings together a public school and a local artist, what is better than that?

Chris Milk... 100% fortification of the daily requirements of inspiration! All a growing kid needs to survive the constant daily onslaught of mediocrity!
